Summary:
Fourteen-year-old David Mitchell has a complicated life.  A bellowing father and an asthmatic mother, a best friend who’s suddenly too interested in girls, a friend who’s a delinquent and a girl David’s a little too interested in himself make his New York City home awfully confusing.  Through it all, and often in the middle, is Cat, a stray tomcat David adopted from the local cat lady, Kate. Cat proves himself a confidante, companion, and all too often, a partner in crime in this realistic coming-of-age tale.

Review:
A quiet read that young teens may enjoy as they struggle with their own emerging adolescence.
