Summary:
Juliet Dove is one of the shyest people she knows.  So when a strange encounter in a magic shop leaves her with what can only be an enchanted amulet, Juliet finds the resulting attention from all the lovesick boys in her class far more than she can take.  The adventure is just beginning – soon, two talking rats arrive to help her, along with a goddess or two.  But only Juliet has the power to solve the mystery and break the spell before it’s too late.

Review:
Although not always a fan of Coville’s work, this story was an easy winner with its humor and zany complications.  The audiobook in particular was extremely appealing as many full-cast recordings are simply due to the auditory variety that helped maintain interest.  A few of the voices were slightly obnoxious at first, but the consistency of the performers allows the reader to become immersed in the story and should overcome any initial resistance.
