Summary:     
A classic with all the wisdom tale elements, this story follows two brothers ready to marry.  A family tradition sends young Mikko into the woods to find his bride, but all he finds is a mouse.  He marries her anyway and the father sets the two wives several competitions, in which the mouse bride proves her excellent skill.  Finally, Mikko’s declaration of love breaks the spell, and the mouse turns into a beautiful princess. 

Review:
A nicely written, well-illustrated rendition of a wonderful story that is an interesting twist on similar tales from other cultures.
