Summary:     

The autobiography of Peter Sís, born just as the Iron Curtain was raised in Germany.  He tells the story of growing up behind the Wall, his discontent and eventual freedom. 

Review:

The diary excerpts were particularly interesting, and the book is told primarily in pseudo comic-strip and diary format with many illustrations.  While I found the book interesting, it can be extremely difficult to follow.  Small writing, small line illustrations, a somewhat episodic nature and a format that changes may cause trouble for readers who struggle.
